Humane Society of Summit County

This new 25,000-square-foot building accommodates the growing need to rescue and shelter animals. Upon intake, the animals are in short proximity to all the necessary spaces to be saved and cared for. The adoption process was developed specifically for the clients’ needs, and this layout allows for public use while providing the separation needed for staff to care for and protect the animals. Features of the facility include:

  • A surgery center
  • Pharmacy
  • X-ray
  • Treatment rooms
  • Dog and cat recovery areas
  • Isolation rooms separate from healthy animals
  • Spaces for events, classes, training
  • Cat and dog play areas
  • Meet and greet rooms for potential adoptees
  • Separate entrance and office area dedicated to employees
“I appreciate all of your support and assistance. You have all been so wonderful and I enjoy working with you.”
