Congratulations to John “JC” Stouffer, FMD Architects’ amazing Animal Care Lead Architect! JC was awarded our monthly Living the Values Award for our Core Value of Adaptability.
Changes and unexpected challenges often arise during design and construction. These challenges can include weather delays, equipment failure, issues with the permit process, budget constraints and more. How we react and solve these challenges determines the success of a project. Over the past few months, JC has been handed several unexpected challenges ranging from the minor to the major to the downright unusual! For example, while on a site visit out of state, he was force to move hotels when the FBI overtook the one he was staying at! And then on his way home from that same trip his flight was delayed 3 times forcing him to stay in the airport far longer than anyone enjoys. With patience and flexibility, JC excelled at adapting to those and all the challenges he has faced recently. Our “secret” judges, Mark Moore and Melanie Friedman, felt that this adaptability deserved to be recognized and awarded him the coveted Living the Values Champion Belt at our recent company retreat! Congratulations on your win, JC, and thank you for a job well done!
About the Award:
In addition to being recognized in front of the entire FMD staff, each award recipient gets to proudly display a Professional Wrestling style belt in his or her cubicle for the next month. The flashy and fun belt was designed with embossed metal placards highlighting each of our core values including Commitment, Listening, Excellence, Adaptability, and Relationships. As an acronym for CLEAR, these values convey our culture as a firm and also serve as a reminder for specific ways we can provide quality service to our clients and our teammates.
Look for a posting next month to see who takes over the belt next!
